My Websites’ Traffic: March 2007

The end of March marked a slowdown in the time I had available to work on my websites, and I feel this had a large impact on the lower traffic levels my websites received late in the month. Hopefully I can manage my time better in April to keep from having these self-inflicted nosedives in website performance.

My Websites’ Traffic

Like last month, I currently have five websites I want to monitor traffic statistics for. These are websites I’ve either monetized or have been completed to a point at which I am trying to build a user base.

The websites: this blog, I EAT N00BS 4 BREAKFAST!!!11, Smart Capper, TrackMyHands.com, and Which Team Wins?.

Note: All stats from Google Analytics

This Blog (The Real Ryan J. Parker)

  • Absolute Unique Visitors: 988
  • Visits: 1,383
  • Pageviews: 2,972
  • Average Pageviews per Visit: 2.15
  • Analysis: This was the first full month of having this blog up and running, so the numbers are obviously higher than last month. The release of the Show Unread Comments WordPress plugin helped to generate traffic, but near the end of the month I had very little time to dedicate to writing posts. As such, I feel like I’ve taken a few steps forward, but also a few steps back. I plan to do better in April, but realistically things will clear up closer to May.

I EAT N00BS 4 BREAKFAST!!!11

  • Absolute Unique Visitors: 7,327
  • Visits: 8,519
  • Pageviews: 13,022
  • Average Pageviews per Visit: 1.53
  • Analysis: This blog continued the traffic explosion in March, thanks in large part to a post on a glitch for an Xbox 360 game. Interest started to wane at the end of the month, so coinciding with my lack of available time has created a steady drop in traffic. This must change in April.

Smart Capper

  • Absolute Unique Visitors: 2,144
  • Visits: 3,573
  • Pageviews: 15,451
  • Average Pageviews per Visit: 4.32
  • Analysis: The dry spell should be ending in April, as the MLB season starts. March is another month between the end of football and the start of baseball, so I expect things to pick up in April.

TrackMyHands.com

  • Absolute Unique Visitors: 469
  • Visits: 510
  • Pageviews: 1,736
  • Average Pageviews per Visit: 3.40
  • Analysis: I’m hoping I get time to develop this more in the coming months, but it’s a low priority, so I don’t expect these traffic levels to fluctuate much until this moves to a higher priority.

Which Team Wins?

  • Absolute Unique Visitors: 244
  • Visits: 369
  • Pageviews: 1,864
  • Average Pageviews per Visit: 5.05
  • Analysis: Most of my available time this month went into growing this website. I purchased a link on a high quality website to help with getting targeted users, and I also started a low cast AdWords campaign. When I say low cost I mean I’m bidding in cheap keywords that should provide me with a good AdWords quality score. (Some didn’t, but I’ll be making a post about that soon.) I haven’t been running this campaign for long, so I’m hoping April will provide a good indication of the cost/visitor ratio.

Totals for All Websites

  • Absolute Unique Visitors: 11,172
  • Visits: 14,354
  • Pageviews: 35,045
  • Average Pageviews per Visit: 2.44

Summary

March was a promising month, but available time severely impacted the end of month stats. In April I’ll focus on dividing up time appropriately to keep this from taking place in the future.

The more I see traffic stats posted by bloggers the better I feel about my site!

My worst month this year was January with only 17K uniques and 123K pageviews.

They would be more impressive if google didn’t zap my PR from 5 to 3!!!

Before I added the blog to my site I was averaging under 1K uniques a month!

That just goes to show you that PR is overrated. 8)

Considering the fact that my site went up only in march, I should say, not bad.
But I am looking for a healthy increase hopefully

      Good luck, man.

But my suggestion would be to cut out the low scorers, and dedicate more time to your better sites.
